Setup & Update Files

The following update files are available for download. Please note that you must be a current subscriber, with your account in good standing, to download and install these files.

Setup  (version 5.54; June 30, 2010)
This is a complete set-up file, with the exception of agency data, vendor number, service fees, and any other custom files. The scripts will not be functional without the agency data and vendor files.

To download and install your agency custom scripts, enter "www.travelware.ca/clients/XXXX.exe" into the address bar of the browser. (note: XXXX is the primary Sabre pseudo city code for your agency or agency group - enter letters in your pseudo city code as capitals - all else is in lower case).

For a complete script install, you MUST download the Setup and Agency Custom script archive files.

Update  (version 5.54; June 30, 2010)
This update only has script files which have been updated since January 1, 2010.

Important - for MySabre users. For a new MySabre install, you must select SabreScribe when installing MySabre. This option is found in the Advanced Summary section of the MySabre install application options. This will install the Sabre software needed to run the scripts and will create the folder that the Quick-Pro scripts are copied into. If you have not done this, and when you try to execute scripts, you will not see any scripts listed. You will then need to return to the MySabre installation, and select SabreScribe. You can access this by clicking on Help in the MySabre window, and then clicking on "Install Sabre Travel Network Desktop Applications" in the "Installation Resources" section.

Installation Instructions

The instructions below refer to the file "update.exe or setup.exe".

When the update or setup process is complete, access the scripts from SABRE (Ctrl-A, then select !promenu.ssc) and verify that the top menu bar indicates Version 4.XX, where XX is the current update or version number, as indicated above.

To install the setup.exe or update.exe files:

If you are using Internet Explorer, a "File Download" dialog box will pop up. Click the "Open" button, if you see this option. If not, select either the option to "Run this program from its current location". You may then see a "Security Warning" box, asking if you want to install and run the file from www.travelware.ca. Select "Yes", and you are off to the races.

If you need to save the file to make it available to other computers in the office that do not have Internet access, then select the option to "Save this program to disk" when the "File Download" dialog box pops up. You can then select drive a: as the target.

If you are using the Netscape browser, click on the "Quick-Pro Setup or Quick-Pro Update" or "Travelware Quality Suite Setup or Travelware Quality Suite Update" links. The setup.exe or update.exe file will then automatically be saved to disk. Make a note of the folder name that the file is saved to.

If you have saved the program to disk, then execute the program from the folder where it was saved, or from the floppy disk in the a: drive, by double-clicking on the update.exe or setup.exe file.

**** IMPORTANT: if you receive a message about the zip file being damaged or truncated, the most likely cause is that you do not have sufficient space in your Temporary Internet Files folder so that the file can download completely. To remedy this situation, go to Tools/Internet Options in Internet Explorer, then click on the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section.

You will have to repeat the steps above for every Sabre workstation in the agency.

After you have installed the program, access all of the script functions via the !promenu.ssc file only. To open this file use the Ctrl+A keys while in SABRE or select Tools/Execute SABREscript.
